Eye-Opening Education at Vision Expo East 2025

Vision Expo East 2025 will offer new conference programming for professional development in the eyecare and eyewear industry, offering over 270 hours of accredited and non-accredited education tailored to the needs of ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians and allied professionals. Taking place February 19–22, 2025, at the new location Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Florida, this year’s program will feature a wide range of courses on clinical care, business growth and the latest technologies.

The event’s renowned educational program will kick off on February 19, one day prior to the exhibit hall opening, and will continue throughout the show. Attendees will gain actionable insights, learn about tools to enhance patient care and build their expertise in an engaging learning environment.

OptiCon @ Vision Expo: Elevating Careers in Opticianry

A highlight of the program, OptiCon @ Vision Expo, offers a unique learning and networking experience for spectacle and contact lens opticians. Created in collaboration with the United Opticians Association (UOA) and The Vision Council, OptiCon provides targeted education, hands-on workshops, and invaluable opportunities to connect with peers in a vibrant and engaging setting.

Education Highlights

The Vision Expo East educational lineup features new tracks and interactive formats, including:

  • Scleral Lens Track: Advanced clinical insights on scleral lens fitting, troubleshooting and patient care strategies.
  • Contact Lens Innovations: Training on the latest lens designs and fitting techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Low Vision Care: Exploring emerging technologies and products to improve quality of life for low-vision patients.
  • Summits: No-fee, one-hour sessions addressing critical issues in eyecare, featuring interactive case discussions.
  • Hands-On Workshops: Limited-capacity classes with instructor-led practice to reinforce ophthalmic skills.
  • Vision Series: Casual breakfast and lunch learning sessions where industry leaders present clinical innovations.
  • Myopia Control Symposium: A comprehensive 3-hour session covering financial, clinical and marketing strategies for managing myopia.
  • New Technology Showcase: A hands-on exhibition highlighting the integration of cutting-edge technology with patient care.

In addition to its robust education program, Vision Expo East will feature an exhibit hall open February 20–22, showcasing products and solutions from over 300 exhibitors. The hall is divided into curated sections—Eyewear, Eyecare, Independent Design, and Tech & Innovation—to streamline navigation and discovery. Attendees can also visit the Main Stage for keynote presentations, panels and expert insights on industry trends and much more.
