Rick Gadd named President of Wholesale Canada and President of Instruments for EssilorLuxottica N.A.

EssilorLuxottica announced that Rick Gadd has been named President of Wholesale Canada and President of Instruments for EssilorLuxottica North America. Rick, who has served as President of Essilor North America for the past two years, will take on the new role as the Company brings its lens and frames teams closer together in Canada. He will report directly to Fabrizio Uguzzoni, President of Wholesale North America for EssilorLuxottica.

Rick will bring his experience and leadership to the position, which includes responsibility for both the frame and lens wholesale business across Canada. In his dual role leading the Company’s Instruments business for N.A., Rick will help unlock the potential for the division’s leading technology, equipment and services designed to meet the changing business needs of the optical industry and help doctors and staff continue to build trusting relationships with their patients.

Christophe Perreault, who has served as President of Essilor Canada since 2017, has made the decision to return to his native France with his family. Christophe has been instrumental to the company’s Canada business in recent years, leading his team in a highly dynamic and changing environment.

“Canada continues to be a vital part of EssilorLuxottica’s North America business and will only grow in importance as we bring our lens and frame businesses together,” said Uguzzoni. “Rick is uniquely suited to deliver the promise of EssilorLuxottica to customers across Canada in the coming years. He is an exceptional leader and deeply committed to our mission, not to mention a Canadian who will fit right in with the incredible team there. I would also like to thank Christophe on behalf of the company for all his contributions – he leaves the business in great shape and in great hands.”

In his new role, Rick will split his time between Dallas and Montreal.
