The Marius Morel 1880 collection features modern versions of Morel’s historic and iconic styles. The collection’s designer has used the shapes, colours, and style of Morel’s very first frames to create a distinctly modern conception of “retro chic.” High-quality materials have been combined with new technologies to provide the Marius Morel 1880 collection with authenticity, sophistication, and a one-of-a-kind design.

The frames of the Marius Morel 1880 collection are directly inspired by the Tydée, a thin metal frame first introduced by Morel in the 1960s.

Morel has revived the unmistakable thin temples and 1960s style design of its Tydée frames with two new models: the half-moon frame and the Nylor frame.

These half-moon frames have been redone in two new shapes, one for women and one for men. Their arched bridge connectors and gold, copper, and silver-colored finishes make for a fabulously chic product that reinvents traditional half-moon frames with the most modern of styles.

A Nylor construction brings out the full finesse and elegance of these frames. And a metal and plastic brow bar provides for either a touch of natural colour or hints of black jasper, blue, brown, or red.

These Nylor frames come in four retro shapes: one circle, one oval, and two pantos designed with a trendy double bridge.
