International Designers Gathered at First Design Month at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit

March 2021 saw the first edition of Design Month, an event that allowed students in the opticianry program at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit to meet internationally renowned frame designers.

After several months of collaboration between two of the Cégep’s departments – Mobilité étudiante et des activités internationales and Techniques d’orthèses visuelles – Design Month was held in March 2021. The team behind this first edition offered students three conferences with innovative world-class artisans: Gai Gherardi of l.a.Eyeworks, Mehdi Gaurat of VM L’Atelier, and siblings Susi and Tiziano Tabacchi of Immagine98.

**Naomie Hadida, a graduating student in the opticianry program, was involved in the organization of the event and expertly conducted two of the three interviews.**
