Vision Science Journals Collaborate to Expand COPE CE Courses

CRO (Clinical & Refractive) Optometry and the Dougmar Publishing Group (DPG) are pleased to announce a collaboration whereby articles published the DPG’s open-access journals are made available as COPE-accredited CE courses on the CRO Online CE Platform.

Dougmar publishes in the medical science area, including vision science journals and best-selling vision science books, Managing Myopia One Child at a Time by Langis Michaud and Scleral Lens Issues and Complications: Their Recognition, Etiology, and Management by Daddi Faddel.

Among the vision science related journals are the Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science, Journal of Dry Eye and Ocular Surface Disease and Journal of Sports and Performance Vision.

Selected articles from these journals will be presented as COPE accredited courses on the CRO Platform. CRO subscribers will be able to view the DPG journal articles online and seamlessly complete the COPE required courses to earn CE credits.

“Both the Dougmar group and CRO are committed to Open-Access and have strong editorial boards and peer-review processes to ensure quality, objectivity, and educational value to eye care practitioners. This arrangement is a CE application of the co-op publishing model which has deep roots in the industry”, said CRO Publisher David Pietrobon.

Publisher and President of the Dougmar Publishing Group, John Birkby, said, “We are pleased to extend the reach of our vision science journals and provide additional  value to our readers through this co-operation. ”

The first collaborative course, authored by Drs. Langis Michaud and Gabriela Courey in the Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science is now available as a COPE-accredited CE course on the CRO platform at www.CROJournal.com
