50 Years, One Vision: Oakley Celebrates Its Anniversary at Foothill Ranch HQ

What began in a California garage in 1975 grew into a global force, shaping the future of sport, culture, and innovation. To mark 50 years of disruption, Oakley is opening the doors of its Interplanetary headquarters in Foothill Ranch, CA, for an immersive experience that will honor everything that has come before, while rewriting what comes next.

“This experience is more than a look back, it’s a launchpad for the next 50 years. We’re immensely proud of the legacy we’ve built, but even more energized about where we’re headed,” shared Brian Takumi, VP of Brand Soul and Creative at Oakley. “Oakley was built on the idea of doing things differently, and that mindset still fuels everything we create. Our legacy is our foundation, not a finish line, and this milestone shows that we’re just getting started.”

Over five days, Oakley HQ will transform into an ever-evolving world of storytelling, sensory installations, and design. Athletes and disruptors from across the world will step into the heart of Oakley’s creative engine for a deep dive into the past, present, and vision that shapes its future.

From a rare look into the factory floor, to product showcases, to experiences that take guests on the journey from moto grips and ballistic dreams to morph wear and lunar tech, the weekend will pull back the curtain on Oakley’s pursuit of a better tomorrow and its commitment to evolve, inspire, and challenge limits.

The Past

A celebration of fifty years pushing beyond the possible, of the visionaries who saw differently, the mad ones who built what didn’t exist, the athletes who rewrote the rules, and the cultural disruptors who turned sparks into movements.

MUZM 2.0

Oakley’s living archive, rebooted with five decades of history-making designs. MUZM 2.0 is a curated celebration of the brand’s most iconic products, people, and moments that have made the brand what it is today. This isn’t just a museum—it’s a living testament to what happens when vision meets determination, and an inside look at the minds of the pioneers who turned obstacles into breakthroughs to make the impossible possible. Each MUZM release is hand-selected from the archive and reimagined with modern innovations, creating a bridge between past and future. From Over-The-Top and Medusa to newer releases like MUZM Straight Jacket and MUZM Eyeshade, this collection is a tribute to the boundary-pushers who’ve created Oakley’s DNA. Step into fifty years of turning the impossible into the inevitable, where every innovation began with someone brave enough to ask “what if?”

The Present

Oakley is marking a milestone, but still as defiant and disruptive as day one. Reigniting their rebellious spark to challenge, to inspire, and to blaze what’s next, see what goes on behind the scenes.

The Innovation Expo

A look into Oakley’s latest innovations and the art of seeing what isn’t there–but building it anyway. A showcase of their fastest head system yet, including Velo Mach and Velo Kato, and unreleased innovations Stunt Wing, Stunt Devil, Stunt Devil S, and Stunt Glider–this is where the next 50 years of performance begin.

The Tech Expo

Oakley didn’t just create category-defining tech; it redefined what eyewear could be. In a world where vision defines performance and also survival, Oakley engineered a new way to see. From the invention of PRIZM™ color enhancements to the precision of High Definition Optics ®, the Tech Expo is a tribute to the relentless pursuit of clarity, performance, and purpose. Because Oakley didn’t follow the rules of sports optics, they built them. This isn’t just about gear. It’s a mindset. A mission. A legacy built by breakthroughs that continue to set the pace for what’s next.

Manufacturing

Oakley’s manufacturing space is where science is wrapped in art. A high-tech hub where raw materials, bold ideas, relentless testing, and expert hands come together to create the brand’s most iconic products, made in the USA.

The Future

Expanding that spirit of imagination, disruption, curiosity, and the relentless urge to explore, experience the road ahead for Oakley, reshaping what’s possible.

Future Genesis

Reclaiming our disruptive spirit, drawing from the principles of yesterday to write the next chapter with a better tomorrow in mind. The Oakley Future Genesis represents a pivotal chapter in the brand’s evolution, honoring its rebellious roots and what’s next. Inspired by Max Fearlight, enter the next generation with Maxine Fearlight, who represents Oakley’s journey ahead to the next 50 years of sports, design, and culture.

The Axiom Space Experience

Oakley’s obsession with innovation doesn’t stop at Earth’s edge. The Axiom Experience shares the secret of the AxEMU Space Visor and space suit prototypes, inviting visitors to see what astronauts will see and land on the moon in a virtual reality experience.

The Oakley Meta Experience

Experience the next generation of AI wearables in action with live demos of the Oakley Meta HSTN, designed to amplify human potential and bring the brand’s forward-thinking DNA to life through a brand-new category of Performance AI glasses.
