Costa Del Mar is expanding its Untangled™ Collection, reinforcing its long‑standing commitment to ocean protection. Since partnering with Bureo® in 2018, Costa has repurposed 3.9 metric tons of discarded fishing nets—one of the most harmful forms of ocean plastic pollution—into durable eyewear frames made with NetPlus® recycled material.
By using NetPlus instead of virgin plastics, the collaboration has reduced CO₂ emissions, saved fossil fuels, and conserved over 1.47 million liters of water, demonstrating how responsible material choices can meaningfully reduce environmental impact.

Five new eyewear styles join the Untangled™ lineup
Costa is introducing five new frames made with NetPlus material containing at least 75% post‑consumer recycled fishing nets: San Carlos, Tavi, Mooring, Sunlace and Rizzler.
The expanded lineup spans Costa’s Hybrid, Lifestyle and Next Gen categories, offering performance‑driven polarized eyewear designed for anglers, explorers and conservation‑minded consumers. Each frame continues the Untangled mission: transforming ocean waste into purpose‑built eyewear that performs on and off the water.
Trevor McGowen, Senior Director of Brand Marketing, says the expansion reflects Costa’s purpose: “The Untangled Collection has always been about building better products for the water while protecting the places that inspire us.”
Availability
The expanded Untangled eyewear collection—including San Carlos, Tavi, Mooring, Sunlace and Rizzler—available on CostaDelMar.com and at select retailers nationwide, starting at $225.
