Two Alberta Practices Join FYidoctors

City Focus Optometry in Calgary, Airdrie Specs Optometry and Carstairs Specs Optometry have been acquired by FYidoctors, according to announcements last week.

Specs Optometry has two locations which have served in the communities of Carstairs and Airdrie in Alberta for over 20 years. Drs. Ali Moradian, Andrew Denson, Marie-Josee Laflamme, Patrick O’Brien and Karen Pinchak will join FYidoctors.

“There is a bit of nostalgia in welcoming Dr. Andrew Denson, Dr. Ali Moradian and their team of doctors and staff from Airdrie and Carstairs to FYidoctors. I personally practiced in the very location Dr. Denson first began his practice in Airdrie and made frequent trips to Carstairs,” said Dr. Alan Ulsifer, President and CEO of FYidoctors. “It is amazing how these communities have grown and how successful these two clinics have become. These are entrepreneurial doctors who have made a name for themselves in the community and I am very proud to have them on our team.”

Also joining FYidoctors are Dr. Laurie Dodds, Dr. Jill Bridges, Dr. Annie Drouin, Dr. Lori Lukey and the staff from City Focus Optometry, a longstanding practice in downtown Calgary.

“I am very pleased to add to our Calgary footprint with the addition of Drs. Laurie Dodds, Jill Bridges, Annie Drouin, and Lori Lukey from City Focus Optometry,” said Alan Ulsifer. “Despite the economic downturn, these doctors have continued to grow their practice and patient base because of their patient-first approach. Our Brand continues to grow in Calgary and across the country and I am very proud to add City Focus to our team.”
