Adlens Announces Electronic Adjustable-Focus Eyewear

Adlens, a manufacturer of variable-focus eyewear, announced that they plan to integrate electronic focusing into their product within the next two years.

Variable-power glasses including features such as electronic auto-focusing, a heads-up display and activity sensors are in the initial design phase.

Adlens currently produces two different types of variable power glasses: mechanical focusing by adjusting the distance between two polycarbonate lenses, and fluid-injection variable focus lenses which uses an elastic, fluid-filled membrane as the lens.

AdlensFocuss, a line of variable-focus “bifocal-killer” progressive glasses that are adjusted by turning knobs located on the inside top corner of the frames, was released in June 2015 in USA.

As reported previously in InfoClip.ca, the Canadian market is likely to see AdlensFocuss in 2016, following rollout in USA and launch in UK. Adlens range is distributed in Canada by Perfect Optical.

Vinyl Factory Pays Tribute to Kraftwerk and Suzanne Vega

Vinyl Factory adds two new music inspired additions to their collection. The Vega style was dedicated to the beautiful Pop-Folk icon of the 80s-90s, Suzanne Vega. The Hutter model, krautrock style sunglasses, was inspired by Ralph Hutter, from Kraftwerk, German pioneers of Electronic music.
