Fashion Icon Reveals Change He’s Made to His Trademark Eyewear
that He Can’t Live Without

PINELLAS PARK, Fla.– Transitions Optical, Inc. has teamed up with fashion icon and Project Runway host Tim Gunn. The partnership developed as a way to inspire people to see life – and fashion – through a new lens. Throughout the collaboration, Gunn will provide fashion tips and motivation to help people see fashion differently and ultimately feel confident in developing their very own style.

To make the wardrobe-selection process more successful and less complicated, Gunn will provide advice that is sure to make people’s style choices more fashionable and functional. It is a message that resonates with Transitions® lenses wearers because the wearable technology enhances their vision and allows them to look fabulous in the process.

“With Transitions® adaptive lenses, people can see life the way it is meant to be seen, and we developed the ‘See Life Through a New Lens’ campaign in the U.S. market to encourage people to see things differently,” said Patience Cook, director, North America marketing, Transitions Optical. “Tim Gunn is an icon in the fashion world, and his insights epitomize what it is like to see things from a new, unique and exciting perspective. He will connect Transitions with countless eyeglass wearers, making them aware of how fashionable and functional Transitions adaptive lenses truly are.”

Throughout the partnership, Gunn will provide expert tips for men and women, helping them understand that looking good and stylish is about more than identifying current trends. “Everyone wants to look fabulous all of the time and that means uncovering a style that is truly you. I am so proud to be working with Transitions Optical to provide style tips that help people celebrate their own look and grow their self-esteem in the process,” Gunn said.

Recently Gunn made a change to his trademark eyewear that he can’t live without. He purchased a pair of Transitions® Signature lenses, which are fully clear indoors and darken just the right amount when exposed to sunlight outdoors.

“I have been curious about Transitions lenses for years. After hearing about how much the technology has improved and seeing how amazing the lenses looked, I decided to give them a try,” Gunn said. “When I am indoors, my Transitions lenses are completely clear and no one knows I’m wearing them. When I go outside, they darken just the right amount. It’s effortless. Frankly, Transitions lenses have surpassed my expectations by far.”

Tim will share his Transitions experience with his legion of followers that are interested in improving their appearance and wondering how they will look in Transitions lenses.

“More than 90 percent of Transitions lenses eyeglass wearers become repeat customers because they are amazed by the experience. We are thrilled about this partnership with Tim Gunn because it will allow us to spread the word about Transitions lenses and share amazing style tips in the process,” Cook added.
