Toronto, Canada – VuePoint IDS Inc. is proud to announce the upcoming launch of a new Digital Eye Care Journal – EyeCareUpdate.com – in April 2016.   Dr. Raymond Stein, Medical Director of Bochner Eye Institute, Toronto, and Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, will serve as the new publication’s Editor-in-Chief.

A highly respected and esteemed group of ophthalmologists and optometrists coast to coast from Canada, and from USA and Europe will serve as editorial section heads for 12 different eye care subspecialties. (See below).  “The goal is provide a journal that is both interesting and of practical clinical value for primary eye care doctors and comprehensive ophthalmologists,” said Dr. Stein.

“Our section editors look forward to sharing their wisdom and opinions through brief overviews of new technologies, interesting case reports, reviews of relevant scientific articles, and presentations and other clinical pearls,” continues Dr. Stein.

The new journal is designed for today’s digital viewing habits of busy health care professionals. The responsive design platform will accommodate all digital devices, including tablets and smartphones, and be fully complemented by Social Media for easy sharing among professional colleagues. The articles will be shorter than those typical in medical journals and be presented in an easy quick-view format.

EyeCareUpdate.com will be available to eligible eye care professionals through a free digital subscription that provides full access to all articles and e-newsletter notification of each issue.  To subscribe, visit www.eyecareupdate.com.

Submissions to the journal are on an invitation basis, however a process for unsolicited articles is also available and can be viewed on the website.
