300+ Hours of Continuing Education

This joint meeting will offer 300+ hours of cutting-edge continuing education and professional development across 200+ courses. Most lectures are accredited for COPE and/or CPD points. Course highlights include Retinal Disease Innovations, AI in Eye Care, Optic Nerve Imaging, Optometry’s Role in Global Eye Care Delivery, Visual Field Mastery, and more.

World Council of Optometry In-Person Poster Session

On June 26-27, explore research and clinical experiences from WCO’s six geographic regions across the globe. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow professionals and learn from the brightest minds in the field.

Networking & Leadership Development

This event will not only offer extensive professional development but also foster invaluable networking opportunities. Optometrists, optometry students, and other eye health professionals will have the chance to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships to help advance the profession on a global scale.

Educators’ Forum & Accreditation Panel

On June 27, delve into the WCO Competency Framework for Optometry and explore how university programs can adapt curricula to meet international eye care needs at the WCO Educators’ Forum, held in partnership with the Association of Schools & Colleges of Optometry (ASCO). The forum will be followed by an Accreditation Panel, where representatives from National Accreditation Councils around the globe explore challenges, best practices, and self-evaluation strategies in the absence of independent, formal accreditation processes.

With the support of industry leaders and a shared vision for accessible, high-quality eye care worldwide, Optometry’s Meeting® | 5th World Congress of Optometry (WCO5) promises to be a rewarding opportunity to engage, learn, and collaborate across the global optometric community.
