Countdown Begins: Optometry’s Meeting® | 5th World Congress of Optometry (WCO5) Conference Launches in Two Weeks

The 5ᵗʰ World Congress of Optometry (WCO5) is two weeks away. Hosted by the World Council of Optometry (WCO) in collaboration with the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) during Optometry’s Meeting® 2025, June 25-28 in Minneapolis, USA, WCO5 will bring together optometric professionals from around the world for four days of education, collaboration, and networking.

Educators’ Forum & Accreditation Panel

On June 27, delve into the WCO Competency Framework for Optometry and explore how university programs can adapt curricula to meet international eye care needs at the WCO Educators’ Forum, held in partnership with the Association of Schools & Colleges of Optometry (ASCO). The forum will be followed by an Accreditation Panel, where representatives from National Accreditation Councils around the globe explore challenges, best practices, and self-evaluation strategies in the absence of independent, formal accreditation processes.
