New Look Vision Completes Acquisition of Edward Beiner in Florida

New Look Vision Group announced that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Miami based Coco Lunette Holding which carries on business principally under the Edward Beiner banner.

Based in Miami, Florida, the Edward Beiner Company has 12 locations across key premium markets in Florida. As previously reported on Optik NOW, its current annualized revenues are $15.5 million CAD and it will continue to operate as a stand-alone unit within New Look Vision.

Antoine Amiel, President and CEO of New Look Vision stated that: “We are pleased to announce the closing of the Edward Beiner Company transaction, following a period of strong cooperative effort by both New Look Vision and Edward Beiner Company management. We are very much looking forward to working with the Edward Beiner Company team to grow our presence in the U.S. retail optical market. This transaction brings our total store network to 394 locations across North America as we proceed to further implement our corporate strategy for growth and development.”

FYidoctors Continues Expansion in British Columbia

FYidoctors announced Kootenay Optometry as the latest clinic to join the company. The addition marks the company’s continued expansion into British Columbia, now operating 33 clinics across the province.

Kootenay Optometry operates two clinics in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia and has served the communities of Castlegar, Trail and surrounding areas for over 30 years. They were recently awarded the 2019 World Sight Day Challenge Silver award from global fundraising initiative Optometry Giving Sight for their commitment to accessible vision care.

Under the FYidoctors banner, the clinic will now enjoy the benefits of FYidoctors’ Internal Freeform technology, that produces high-quality lenses from their ophthalmic laboratory in Delta, B.C., in addition to a variety of support and a wide range of designer frames.

CEO Massimo Renon Leaves Marcolin Group April 14

The Marcolin Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Massimo Renon, have mutually agreed to terminate their contractual relationship with effect from April 14, 2020.

The Board of Directors thanks Massimo Renon for his efforts and support to the company over the last three years directing it towards a future of further success.

Massimo Renon will continue to exercise his powers of Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Marcolin until the established termination date.
