Revolution EHR Integrated with Visioffice and M’eye Fit Mirror Systems

RevolutionEHR’s SaaS (Software as a Service) practice management and health record system for optometrists is now integrated with Essilor’s Visioffice and M’eye Fit Mirror systems.

The integration facilitates the seamless transmission of information from Essilor systems directly to the spectacle Rx form within RevolutionEHR providing time savings, a reduction of data entry errors and a differentiated patient-focused experience.

Both RevolutionEHR and Essilor Technologies have confirmed to VuePoint that the integration is operable for Canadian installations.

Vision Institute Packs In ODs for a 20 Hour CE Marathon

The Vision Institute of Canada announced attendance of 335 for their Annual Conference November 6-8 in Markham, Ontario.  The conference packed 20 hours of high quality Category A Continuing Education credits, a Town Hall Meeting and Reception hosted by the College of Optometrists of Ontario, 6 hours of CAO approved Optometric Assistants Program, the Vision and Eye Health Book Store and Silent Auction, and not to mention a 3 hour jam-packed trade floor with 41 industry suppliers presenting their products and services.

Dr. Paul Chris, Executive Director of the Vision Institute was very pleased with the event, “Each year we’re able to attract outstanding speakers, and deliver an extraordinary program.  The feedback from this year’s event is very gratifying.”  Dr. Chris also appreciated the full support of the supplier community.  “Our booth space was sold out in April this year, and we couldn’t fulfill all the requests.”

Gerry Chevalier Receives CNIB Honour

Gerry Chevalier recently won the CNIB Arthur Napier Magill award for his outstanding accomplishment in service to Canadians who are blind or partially sighted.

Gerry Chevalier has been a CNIB volunteer for 20 years. He is a former member of the organization’s Board of Directors and was chair of the CNIB Library Board of Directors. Furthermore, he was one of the earliest champions of the CNIB digital library and DAISY digital talking book player.

As a person living with vision loss caused by retinitis pigmentosa, he was also brand manager of HumanWare’s Victor Reader line of digital talking book players.

Now retired, he continues to be involved with CNIB, namely by designing webinars for library members and by advising those who are responsible for answering technological questions.
