Transitions Optical 2016 Consumer Campaign Expands

ORLANDO, Fla.– Allowing digital’s ever-increasing influence to complement the reach of traditional advertising techniques, Transitions Optical, Inc. is launching a new consumer campaign that will highlight the stories and experiences told by influential Transitions® lens wearers and speak to a younger, more fashion-focused audience. In 2016, Transitions Optical will continue to feature Canadian actress Laurence Leboeuf in its television, digital and social advertising, and will work with at least four other influencers as well, building out content-rich digital experiences to encourage social sharing, and leveraging the ambassadors’ strong networks of consumers already interested in the fashion and eyewear categories.

New Digital Experiences and Promotions

Transitions Optical will also launch a new digital experience, found at Transitions.com/BeyondTheLens, on the Transitions® consumer website, which will include socially-sharable videos, images and more. New content will be uploaded to the site as activities surrounding Transitions Optical’s consumer campaign continue to unfold.

Safilo and Swatch Announce Five-Year Agreement

Italian eyewear creator Safilo and Swatch Ltd have signed a collaboration agreement for Swatch branded Eyewear. Creative, playful and lifestyle oriented, Swatch TheEyes will be launched in spring 2016.

The launch of the collection will be supported by the “I ALWAYS WANT MORE LOOKS” Swatch advertising campaign – as fun, provocative and smile inducing as ever!

Safilo and Swatch are to co-design eyewear collections and Safilo is to develop and manufacture the eyewear
in its European production network.

Transitions Lenses Help Protect Eyes from Harmful Blue Light

ORLANDO, Fla. – With discussion of the dangers of harmful blue light at the public forefront due to the increased use of digital devices, Transitions Optical, Inc., educates customers and eyecare professionals that its full line of Transitions® eyeglass lenses help to provide blue light protection indoors and outdoors.

Educational materials have been developed to equip eye care professionals with the knowledge they need to understand the implications of blue light exposure, how harmful blue light is actually present both indoors and outdoors, and how Transitions lenses can provide a measure of protection.

New blue light educational resources will be released throughout 2016.
