VSP’s Mobile Eyes Clinic Comes to Canada

VSP Vision Care Canada’s “Mobile Eyes” mobile eye care clinic is visiting three locations in GTA from August 27-29 offering a free, full, eye exam and eyewear to patients in their first ever charitable outreach in Canada.

Founded in 2005 to help with disaster relief following Hurricane Katrina, Mobile Eyes is a state-of the-art vision clinic and dispensary on wheels which works with local FYidoctors to offer free vision care as they tour different cities when not required for disaster relief.

Working with local partners United Way Toronto, and with a streamlined process that allows them to see a patient every twenty minutes, they expect to offer over 150 patients free, comprehensive, eye exams and eyewear over the three day period. For prescription eyewear, the frames were donated by Marchon Canada and lenses from VSP Optics Group.
