Vision-Ease announces an appointment and an invitation

Grady Lenski is the new vice president of sales, North America, for Vision-Ease.

He will be responsible for sales teams in the United States, Canada and Mexico, in addition to supervising customer service initiatives. Lenski worked at PPG Industries for 32 years. He most recently served as managing director of marketing and business in Canada for Transitions Optical.

Furthermore, the U.S. women’s soccer legend and ambassador of Coppertone polarized lenses will visit the Vision-Ease kiosk at the next Vision Expo East, to be held at the Javits Center in New York. On Saturday, March 21, she will be present from 2:00 to 3:00 pm to sign autographs and meet her fans.

Isabelle Boin-Serveau Appointed as Editor for Opt!K Magazine

Isabelle Boin-ServeauDavid Pietrobon, President of Vuepoint IDS and publisher of the bilingual magazine Optik, has announced the appointment of Isabelle Boin-Serveau to the editorial team led by Charleen Wyman, Managing Editor.

“It is very important for us to preserve the bilingual nature of our publication. That is why we are very pleased to have the presence of Isabelle for everything related to writing in French,” said David Pietrobon.

Isabelle Boin-Serveau has over 25 years of experience in writing and magazine editing including 10 years of editing experience in the field of optics. Always on the lookout for the latest trends in technology, marketing and fashion, Isabelle Boin-Serveau will become the French language editorial resource for Optik Magazine.

David Pietrobon would also like to thank Danielle St-Jean, long-standing editor-in-chief for Optik since its inception in 2006, for her dedication and tireless efforts over the years.  The transition to the new editorial team is in full swing and the contributions of Charleen and Isabelle to the evolution of Optik are already evident in  the first issue published under the VuePoint banner in February, 2015.

New Project Manager Announced for the Opti International Trade Show

Bettina Reiter will be taking on the role of project manager at Opi, the International Trade Show for Optics and Design in Germany. Reiter’s expertise in the trade show business was gained over two decades organizing many B2B and B2C events including the Messe Stuttgart (Stuttgart Trade Fair) and the AFAG in Nuremberg among others.

Together with the present Opti team, her goal is to take the trade show to the next level and make it fit for the future: “In addition to high tech and design, Opti is also a trend barometer and a visionary mirror for the industry,” says Reiter.

The next Opti show will take place January, 15-17, 2016 at the Fairground Messe in München.
